Dreamcast and Recipe from Frosted Sweets
It’s funny when you write a book and have to answer who would be your dreamcast from it… Some have inquired about this for Frosted Sweets since they are all adamant that this be made into a series. That only causes me to laugh as I find it great that they agree with me… Now, slow down it’s not like that. But, when I wrote Frosted Sweets and planned out the rest of the series this is how I picture it in my head. I want you to be sucked in like it’s your next fix of reality TV or something like that. So I love that response from people on it.
With that said I wanted to share my dreamcast with you all.
Morgan Lewis – Our sweet sweet baker from Frosted Sweets
Ashely Greene would work for Morgan.
Francesca Gino – aka Frankie our closed off but funny photographer
Zooey Deschanel would be a pretty good fit for this role
Natasha Presley – Our protective lawyer with a dash of humor
Jennifer Garner could play this perfect
Zara – This was hard to find a match as I have her a certain way in my head which ended up with a VERY long search through Google to find one close enough. I mean she’s free spirited, spunky, no filter- that’s a hard role to fill.
It came down to Kristin Kreuk for this dreamcast member
WOW that was just the ladies- now I have to tell you the guys and some might not be surprised by one of them at ALL!
Simon Kensington – Heart breaking we want to hurt you guy..
I think Ryan Gosling could play our role perfect. Simon might have broken Morgan’s heart but he tries to win her back over.
Jayden Rivers – The one who has an unhealthy addiction to Morgan’s treats- and I’m not only referring to cupcakes here ladies.
Brody Hardwell – Our reserved but in love Brody who only has eyes for Frankie…
This role should be played by Ryan Reynolds as he would totally have to have a humor to deal with Frankie and the girls.
Diesel Kraft – the mechanic that holds Natasha’s car hostage for a date.. Brace yourself people as this is the ULTIMATE one here. Just so you all know I can’t wait to write this book. Change the hair a bit and add some tattoos and we have a cast member.
Chris Hemsworth
Hatcher James – Poor Hatcher! I think we all want to bake him a cake for what Zara puts him through.
This is a hard one also as I have several guys floating around in my head for this role but Jamie Dornan might be the ONLY person who could handle Zara and it’s the scruff and glasses.. Yes, I totally went here.
Whew that was really really hard when I actually had to think who I’d cast for this whole series. Well almost all of them I should say.
Of course I have to thank Google for allowing me to save these and share with you all. I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THESE RIGHTS.. This is just me messing around with you guys and having some fun… I mean it is a DREAMCAST after all.
Let’s move along now shall we….
Recently I was asked about the baking and if I loved any of the stuff that I wrote about. There is one that I do love and wanted to share with you guys today. This is simple and pinned on my board also on Pinterest for you guys.
Orange Dream Cupcakes
Ingredients
1 tbsp Orange Peel
2 refrigerated medium eggs
1/2 cup Orange marmalade
1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
2 cups Confectioner’ sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
1 tbsp Orange juice
2 tbsp 2% milk
1 cup Butter
1/2 cup Buttermilk
Directions:
Preheat over to 325 degrees. Get all of your cupcake liners. If you are going to do mini cupcakes this will make around 42 and 20 regular size cupcakes. Mix the following in a large bowl: cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in orange peel, orange juice and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.
Fill prepared cups two-thirds full. Bake 11-13 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
For buttercream, in a large bowl, beat butter and salt until creamy. Gradually beat in confectioners’ sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.
Using a paring knife, cut a 1-in.-wide cone-shaped piece from top of each cupcake; discard removed portion. Fill cavity with marmalade. Pipe or spread buttercream over tops.
It’s really simple and you can spice it up and do your thing with them. I have no idea on calories as I just like them. I’m feeling a baking session coming up soon as now I have a sweet tooth and need cupcakes in my life.
I have a few others that I love also and will share those soon with you guys. I hope you enjoyed this fun post of our dreamcast with a little something sweet to go along with a cup of milk.
Thanks everyone and before I forget Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Love,
A.M.
