What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date? My very first shoot when I started getting into modelling was with Rick Day, and I was totally freaking out because my coworker told me about what a huge deal he is and I never thought I’d be shooting with him my second time shooting. It was so fun and the pictures turned out AMAZING!!
How would you describe your personal style, where do you pull your inspiration from? My personal style is very simple. I am a totally laid back jeans and tshirt kind of guy. flannel shirts and such. as long as it fits well on my body, that’s what is important. I like simple things with little details that make it interesting or eye-catching.
Do you have any hidden talents? Define talent? because if ear wiggling falls into that category, then I’ve got a hidden talent.
Do you get to travel a lot for your work? If so what’s your favorite city that you have visited? I don’t get to travel much for work…. YET!! but I’ve made some really awesome and supportive friends in NYC so far and I really look forward to making more.
Do you ever get shy in front of the camera? a little bit. but I tend to mediate shyness by making awkward quasi funny jokes and just being a goofball. That usually helps.
Favorite movie? the original Willy Wonka. None of that Johnny Depp crap, Gene Wilder is the one and only.
Five things you can’t live without? 1.) the gym 2.) Ben and Jerry’s 3.) Frisket (my cat) 4.) my iPod 5.) my iBooks
Give us five facts about you people may not know. 1.) I’m a huge nerd. 2.) I make jewelry (for myself and to sell) 3.) I have a tattoo of a howling wolf on the side of my head 4.) I’m terrified of spiders. 5.) I can drive a tractor but not legally drive a car.
What’s the best and worst thing about being a model? The best is that it’s fun to get to be a different person in front of the camera. The worst is the assumptions people make about you when you say you do modelling.
What’s your biggest accomplishment? Actually doing modelling. I got bullied really badly growing up and it took a toll on my self confidence and this is always something I wanted to do and summoning the courage and confidence to take the step and make it happen for myself is something I’m very proud of.
