It’s only May 11th and so many things have happened this month. Some might have heard through the grapevine that my publisher Booktrope Publishing is closing on May 31st, and that has threw a little wrinkle in my month. As most might already know this, but I love to adapt and overcome speed bumps and publishing sure has a lot of those. Lucky for me I know how to self-publish and on June 1, 2016 I will own all copyrights for the books that were housed with Booktrope.
My readers shouldn’t be affected by this as I’ve been working around the clock to make sure covers, files, and everything else are updated and ready to go… What does this mean for me? It means that we have exciting things happening and I am busting at the seems with it all. All titles will now be available on the following sites; Amazon, Nook, iTunes, Kobo, and more… I will update you all as soon as I can when we have things finalized.
Also we have Audio Books!!!!!
Currently the only ones that are available on audio are; One Night Box-Set, Love on the Screen, and Unexpected Chances. ALL and I mean ALL of the others are in production as I type this, so be on the look out for that news once it’s all done. You might also notice that I made a few updates to the website… Yes, I am that dork that loves to play with coding from time to time 🙂 We have a new menu just for you readers, and one for Audio Books where you can hear a sample from the ones already available.
See I told you lot’s of exciting things and changes were coming….
Even though the changes are coming from a closing, I believe that good things will come from this. I love the saying as one door closes, ten more will open. This has been my motto since I found out and the motivation to keep moving forward. Am I upset, or sad about this? Yes, I am sad as our community within Booktrope was a family. Some will either go another direction, while some will still stay in touch and support each other on our new adventures. The opportunities given, the things that I learned, the connections that I’ve made; make the last year totally worth it all. So for that, I am thankful for the time spent with the company.
Now, I get to focus on the next chapter of my publishing career and make new connections with readers.
